What Icterine Changes
In vanilla Minecraft, the game re-checks advancement requirements every time an item stack changes size or moves between slots. On busy servers with fast item sorting, hoppers, or automation, this creates a constant stream of background checks that adds up to noticeable tick lag.
Icterine targets this by skipping advancement trigger checks when item stacks
shrink or are cleared from inventory slots. Since a shrinking stack cannot newly satisfy a "collect this many items" goal, those checks are wasted work.
The mod also remembers item count goals from loaded advancements, so the server only runs a check when a count actually reaches a target number. When a check does run, multi-part requirements stop early if an item does not match what the advancement needs.
Everything runs server side. Advancement unlocking behaves normally for players — the mod only removes redundant background work, which helps most on multiplayer servers with heavy sorting and automation.
