Open Overlay Customization Settings

Access the Enhanced Overlay configuration menu and find the Name Tags, Floating Text, or Entity Labels section.

Adjust Player Name Tag Appearance

You can modify:

  • Visibility distance: How far away name tags remain visible
  • Background: Remove or adjust the dark background box behind names
  • Text color and scale: Make names larger, smaller, or change their color
  • Shadow effects: Add or remove text shadows for better readability

Customize Floating Text Displays

Locate the Floating Text or World Text option. The mod allows you to display text labels (like item names or damage numbers) with a shadow effect instead of a solid background box, creating a cleaner look.

Apply and Test

Save your changes and join a world or server. Approach other players or look at floating text displays to see your customizations in action.

Fine-Tuning

If name tags feel cluttered, reduce their render distance or scale. For better visibility in bright areas, enable shadows or adjust text color contrast.
