Access Item Rendering Options

Open the Enhanced Overlay mod settings and navigate to the Item Display or Enchantment section.

Enable Fake Enchantment Glow

Find the option to add a fake enchantment glow or shimmer effect to items. This feature applies the same visual texture as real enchanted items, but to any item you choose—even unenchanted tools or armor.

Configure Which Items Glow

Depending on the mod's options, you may be able to:

  • Apply the glow to all items in your inventory
  • Select specific items to glow
  • Toggle it on or off globally

View the Effect

Save your settings and check your inventory or drop items on the ground. They should now display the characteristic enchanted shimmer, matching the appearance of legitimately enchanted gear.

Tips

This is purely visual and doesn't grant any actual enchantment benefits. It's useful for organizing your inventory visually or creating a custom aesthetic without modifying item NBT data.
