Frequently asked questions

How do I open the mod settings?
Open your inventory and look for the Disable Fog Mod config button, or access it through your mod menu (usually Mod Menu or similar). From there you can toggle individual fog types on and off.
Can I disable fog in just the Nether without affecting the Overworld?
Yes, the mod lets you control fog per dimension. You can toggle Nether fog separately from Overworld fog in the settings, so you can have different fog rules for each world type.
Does removing fog affect my FPS or performance?
Disabling fog typically improves performance slightly since your game renders more chunks without the fog cutoff, though the impact depends on your render distance and hardware. If you experience lag, try keeping some fog types enabled or lowering your render distance.
Why can't I see through lava even with the mod enabled?
Make sure you've toggled the lava fog setting to OFF in the mod config. If it's already off, check that you're using the latest mod version, as older versions may have had issues with lava fog removal.
