Troubleshooting: Items Still Flying to You With a Demagnetizer

Check Placement and Range

If items are still zipping into your inventory, the most common cause is that the drop is happening *outside* the Demagnetizer's field. Move the block closer to where items actually land, or switch to an Advanced Demagnetizer for a larger radius. Remember the field is centered on the block, so a unit tucked in a corner will not cover the opposite side of a room.

Check What You Are Testing

Demagnetizers stop *dropped* items from being pulled toward players. They do not stop you from picking items up by walking directly over them, and they do not affect items already in your inventory. If you are standing right on top of the drop, you may still collect it by proximity — step a few blocks away and retest.

Check for Gaps

In large builds, a single unit often cannot cover everything. Walk the perimeter and drop a test item at each corner. Any item that moves toward you marks a spot outside the field. Add another Demagnetizer or reposition the existing one until every drop point is covered. Overlapping fields are fine and will not cause problems.

Still Not Working?

Confirm the block is actually the Demagnetizer and not a decorative lookalike, and that it has not been broken or moved. If a redstone-controlled setup is involved, make sure nothing is disabling it.
