Adjusting Rain Growth Behaviour in the Config

Where to look

The mod exposes its behaviour through configuration, so you can tune how strong the rain bonus is or disable it entirely without removing the mod. Open the config file for Crops Love Rain in your instance's config folder and read the comments above each option before editing.

Safe editing workflow

1. Close the game before editing the config file.

2. Back up the file so you can restore defaults if something breaks.

3. Change only one option at a time and note what you changed.

4. Save, launch, and test with the side-by-side method described in the growth-check guide.

5. If behaviour is wrong, restore the backup and try a different value.

What you can typically control

Config options usually govern whether the rain bonus is enabled and how much faster crops grow during rain. Exact option names and value ranges vary, so read the file's own comments rather than guessing. If you run a server, the server's config is what matters for players — editing your client config will not change server-side growth. After any change, restart the server or reload so the new values take effect.
