Yes, you need both Marium's Soulslike Weaponry and Spellblades and Such installed for the data pack to function. The data pack only adds Smite to existing weapons from Marium's mod using the spell system from Spellblades and Such.
How do I actually cast Smite when I swing a weapon?
Smite activates automatically when you attack with one of the six affected weapons—you don't need to do anything special. The holy magic triggers on hit as part of the weapon's enchantment.
Which weapons get the Smite ability?
The Silver Sword, Moonlight Shortsword, Kirkhammer, Holy Moonlight Sword, Dawnbreaker, and Bluemoon Shortsword all receive the Smite spell in this pack.
Does Smite work on all enemy types or just certain ones?
Smite is a holy magic effect, so it's most effective against undead and demonic enemies. It will still deal damage to other mobs, but the bonus is typically strongest against supernatural foes.
