Core Mechanics Rework

Impaled modifies existing vanilla trident mechanics to make them more versatile and intuitive.

Impaling

In vanilla Minecraft, the Impaling enchantment only deals extra damage to aquatic mobs. Impaled reworks this to deal damage to any wet mob (mobs currently in water or in rain). To balance this expanded utility, the damage bonus is adjusted to 0.75 per level (down from 1.25).

Loyalty

Tridents with the Loyalty enchantment now always return to the exact inventory slot they were launched from, including the offhand. If the original slot is filled by a new item before the trident returns, it will seek the first available free slot as a fallback.

Sincere Loyalty (Loyalty IV)

Sincere Loyalty is a new enchantment level (Loyalty IV) that provides ultimate control over your weapon.

• Manual Recall: By holding down the right mouse button with an empty slot selected, you can recall your trident from anywhere in the world.
• Entity Persistence: Tridents with Sincere Loyalty drop as entities rather than items when dropped, preventing them from despawning or being easily lost.
• Theft Protection: The trident will return to you even if it is currently inside another player's inventory.
• Enchantment Synergy: Unlike vanilla tridents, those with Sincere Loyalty can be enchanted with both Loyalty and Riptide simultaneously.
