How do I find ore deposits in Geolosys?
Use the Prospector's Pick on stone or dirt blocks to scan for nearby deposits; it reports what ore type is present and roughly how far away it is. The Field Manual is the in-game guide item that documents deposit types and their surface indicators.
What is a Sample block and what do I do with it?
Sample blocks such as Copper Sample, Galena Sample, or Kimberlite Sample appear on the surface above a buried deposit and mark its location. Breaking a Sample block yields the corresponding ore item or cluster, and the block itself can be crafted into its ore counterpart.
How do I turn a Cluster into usable ingots?
What's the difference between Poor Gold and regular Gold?
Poor Gold, Poor Gold Cluster, and Poor Gold Sample are the lower-yield gold variants found in Geolosys deposits. Smelting or blasting Poor Gold yields Gold Nuggets rather than full Gold Ingots.
How do I make a Prospector's Pick?
The Prospector's Pick is crafted via a shaped recipe using common materials; check the Field Manual for the exact grid layout. It is the primary tool for locating underground deposits.
What is the Field Manual and how do I get it?
The Field Manual is a craftable guide item that documents Geolosys ores, deposits, and processing. Craft it with a shaped recipe and right-click to open it.
How do I get Aluminum, Lead, Nickel, Silver, or Tin ingots?
Smelt or blast the corresponding cluster ( Aluminum Cluster, Lead Cluster, Nickel Cluster, Silver Cluster, Tin Cluster) to obtain the ingot. Each cluster also yields nuggets when processed further.
What are the coal types in Geolosys?
Geolosys adds Lignite, Bituminous Coal, Anthracitic Coal, and their deepslate variants, plus Peat. Lignite Coal and Bituminous Coal Coke are produced by processing these coals in a coke oven.
How do I make coke?
Lignite Coal Coke and Bituminous Coal Coke are produced in an Immersive Engineering coke oven from Lignite Coal and Bituminous Coal respectively. These are the only coke oven recipes present in the mod.
Where do ores like Autunite, Azurite, Beryl, Cinnabar, Galena, Hematite, Limonite, Malachite, Sphalerite, and Teallite come from?
Each of these appears as a surface Sample block marking a deposit, and as a Deepslate variant when the deposit generates in deepslate. Breaking the sample or mining the deposit block yields the corresponding ore item.
What is Kimberlite used for?
Kimberlite and Deepslate Kimberlite are diamond-bearing deposit blocks found via Kimberlite Sample on the surface. Mining them yields the ore drops associated with the deposit.
How do I get Ancient Debris in Geolosys?
Ancient Debris, Ancient Debris Clump, and Ancient Debris Sample are the mod's netherite-related entries. The Sample marks the deposit, and the Clump is the processed form that smelts or blasts into Ancient Debris.
