Ranks, Claims and the Admin View

Server operators get extra tools in FTB Utilities. Through the mod's interfaces you can view and manage claims belonging to any player or team, unclaim chunks that were abandoned, and adjust rank permissions that apply server-wide. This lets you resolve land disputes without editing files by hand. The claiming map also shows all claims, not just your own, when you have the appropriate permissions.

Chunk Loading

FTB Utilities lets players keep chunks loaded so machines and farms keep running while nobody is nearby. There is a limit on how many chunks each player or rank may force-load, configured by the server. As an admin you can raise or lower that limit per rank. Players manage their loaded chunks through the same claiming interface.

Backups and Moderation

Use the built-in backup system as your safety net before making sweeping changes, and rely on the team and rank system to delegate moderation duties instead of granting full operator rights. Because most of these settings live in configuration files, review them after installing or updating a pack so defaults match how you want your server to run.
