To begin your journey into EvilCraft, you must first obtain the Chronicle of Evil (also known as The Origins of Darkness), which serves as the in-game guide.

Obtaining the Chronicle of Evil

  1. Mine Dark Ore: Found deep underground (Y: 6 to -6), Dark Ore drops Dark Gems. You need at least an Iron Pickaxe.
  2. Craft a Darkened Apple: Combine a regular Apple with a Dark Gem.
  3. The Sacrifice: Find a passive animal (like a pig or cow) and feed it the Darkened Apple. The animal will begin to die and create a dark anomaly.
  4. The Ritual: Quickly throw a regular Book into the anomaly. It will transform into the Origins of Darkness.

Core Resources

Resource Description Acquisition
Blood The primary fluid resource. Collected from Blood Stains or using a Blood Extractor.
Dark Gem Essential crafting component. Mined from Dark Ore.
Crushed Dark Gem Used for brooms and fuel. Obtained by crushing Dark Gems or as a rare drop from Dark Ore.
Hardened Blood A solid block form of blood. Created when blood pools solidify or by infusing stone with blood.
