Dooglamoo Cities Mod — Guide
World Generation
The mod adds unique structures to the world to encourage exploration and provide a head start for new mayors.
Abandoned Cities
Abandoned cities generate in square rings around the world center (0,0). They are filled with loot, spawners, and partially destroyed buildings. - Small City: Generates between 500 and 1000 blocks from center. 144 blocks across with one central intersection. - Large City: Generates between 1000 and 3000 blocks from center. Up to 528 blocks across with multiple roads and Large Towers. - Loot: Chests contain Coin Pouches, rare blocks (Glowstone, Sea Lanterns), and industrial supplies.
Subway Tunnels
Main roads in abandoned cities always generate with subway tunnels and stations beneath them. These tunnels provide a safe, fast travel network and can be found by digging under the central road blocks.
Mechanics
The Grid System
Every industry and building block aligns with a predefined 16x16 chunk grid. When you place a block, it calculates its borders based on this grid. Most industries cannot overlap, though manufacturing industries can be placed inside Trade Buildings.
Food & Simulation
Industries require food to function. Every Minecraft day, a block has a chance to "eat." If no food is available, there is a 1% chance the industry will go out of business and drop as an item. - Quality 0: Raw crops, apples (accepted by basic industries). - Quality 11+: Cooked meats, bread, baked potatoes (required by Large Factories and Towers).
Disasters
Cities can randomly face disasters which must be managed: - Drought: Water sources near Farms may disappear. - Fire: Random fires can break out in buildings. - Blight: Crops in Farms may die off. - Alien Invasion: Ghasts spawn and attack the city.
Economy & Taxes
Players can set a tax rate (0-20%) in Trade Buildings. Higher taxes generate more money but can slow down growth. Money is used to buy resources from the global market or other industries via the Distributor.
