What DEUF Does
Every entity in a Minecraft world is identified by a UUID. When two entities end up sharing the same UUID, the game can no longer tell them apart. This typically happens after world edits, chunk corruption, or copying entities through commands or tools. The result is a broken world: entities may vanish, duplicate, fail to save, or cause errors when the world loads.
DEUF detects these duplicate entity UUIDs and repairs them. Instead of leaving the conflict in place, it assigns fresh UUIDs so each entity is unique again, letting the world load and behave normally.
Because the repair changes entity identity, it is worth knowing when it runs. DEUF can write a repair log, which records what it fixed. Switch the log on in the mod's configuration so you have a record of any duplicates found and corrected. This is useful when diagnosing a world that keeps producing conflicts, or when confirming a repair actually happened.
