Beyond combat, the mod adds a whole building and redstone layer. This guide covers the practical uses of the mod's decorative and functional blocks.

Bloom Wood Set

Bloom Planks, Bloom Stairs, Bloom Slabs, Bloom Fences, Bloom Doors, Bloom Trapdoors, Bloom Signs, and Bloom Buttons all come from Blooming Stem and Blooming Moss. Harvest Bloom Berries and Blooming Stem in the Deep Dark, then craft the full wood set just like any vanilla wood. Bloom Boats and Bloom Boats with Chest let you travel on water in mod style. Use these blocks to build a base that matches the Deep Dark aesthetic.

Sculk Transmitters

Sculk Transmitters come in many colors: Black, Blue, Brown, Cyan, Gray, Green, Light Blue, and more. They function as colored redstone signal components. Place them where you want to send or relay a signal, and use the color to keep separate circuits visually distinct. Check the in-game tooltip for the exact behavior of each color.

Gloomslate and Lite Blocks

Chiseled Gloomslate, Cobbled Gloomslate, and their slabs, stairs, and walls are the mod's stone building set. Block of Lite and Bordered Block of Lite emit light and make excellent lamps. Gleam Gel and Grime Ball are crafting ingredients for these. Combine Gloomslate with Bloom wood for a cohesive Deep Dark build.
