Cavern II Mod FAQ

Cavern II is an exploration and mining mod for Minecraft that adds multiple cave-themed dimensions, a mining rank system, and unique ores and equipment.

It adds the Cavern, Huge Cavern, Aqua Cavern, Mirage Worlds, Caveland, and Cavenia dimensions.

Aqua Cavern is a flooded cave dimension. If you become an Aqua Miner or better, you can mine with ease even while in water.

Caveland is a fantasy cave dimension that almost seems like a surface world. Acresia grows naturally there.

Cavenia is the Cavenic monsters' nest cave dimension.

It adds Magnite Ore, Aquamarine Ore, Randomite Ore, and Hexcite Ore. Magnite and Hexcite require an iron pickaxe or better, while Aquamarine and Randomite require a stone pickaxe or better.

You get mining points by mining ores in the cave dimensions.

Miner rank promotes as your mining points accumulate, and you get benefits based on your rank. At Aqua Miner or better, you can mine with ease even in water.

Mining Assist unlocks when your miner rank becomes iron or higher. You can switch assist modes by pressing V by default.

It adds Cavenic variants of vanilla mobs: Cavenic Skeleton, Cavenic Creeper, Cavenic Zombie, Cavenic Spider, Cavenic Bear, and Cavenic Witch. They can spawn almost anywhere in cave dimensions at a light level of 7 or less.
