A Library, Not a Gameplay Mod

Caelus API is a coremod and API, not a content mod. It does not add elytra items, recipes, or flight controls you can use on its own. Instead, it exposes elytra flight mechanics to other mods through an entity attribute.

In vanilla, elytra flight is tied to wearing the elytra item. Caelus changes that by letting flight be driven by an attribute on the entity. Any mod that grants or modifies that attribute can then enable, disable, or adjust elytra-style flight without requiring the player to wear a specific item.

For players, this means Caelus is almost always installed as a dependency. You will rarely notice it directly. You will notice it when another mod's flight feature works correctly, because that mod relies on Caelus to handle the flight logic.

If you install Caelus by itself, expect no new items and no visible changes. It exists so other mods can build flight mechanics on a shared foundation.
