Getting Started with Better Nether: Anchor Trees and Cincinnasite

An Overview of the Mod's Core Materials

Better Nether expands the Nether with its own wood and ore sets. The Anchor Tree is the mod's signature tree, providing a full wood family: logs, bark, planks, saplings, and leaves, plus crafted blocks like doors, fences, gates, ladders, signs, hanging signs, buttons, pressure plates, bookshelves, barrels, composters, crafting tables, and chests. Boats and boats with chest are also available, so you can travel lava seas in Anchor Tree style.

Cincinnasite is the mod's metal. You smelt it into ingots, then craft a complete tool and armor line: pickaxe, axe, shovel, hoe, sword, shears, hammer, and excavator, plus helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots. A Cincinnasite-Diamond variant upgrades the tools further. Furniture rounds things out with Acacia and Anchor Tree stools, chairs, and bar stools.

The Nether also gains decorative blocks like basalt bricks and quartz glass, and flora such as agave and vines. Agave yields leaves, seeds, and Agave Medicine.
