Better Furnaces Mod FAQ

It adds a tier of faster, upgradeable furnaces that smelt items more quickly, process ores for bonus output, and can be automated and customized.

It adds the Iron Furnace, Gold Furnace, Diamond Furnace, Hell Furnace, and Extreme Furnace.

The Iron Furnace cooks 1.5 times as fast as a normal furnace, the Gold Furnace twice as fast, the Diamond Furnace 4 times, the Hell Furnace 25 times, and the Extreme Furnace 50 times.

Upgrades include Fuel Efficiency, Ore Processing, Advanced Fuel Efficiency, Advanced Ore Processing, Liquid, Storage, Auto-Output, Auto-Input, Factory, Color, Piping, Ore Dictionary, and the Upgrade Package.

It doubles the amount of ingots you get from ores, working on most ores, though the only modded ores it works on are Copper, Tin, Silver, and Lead. It only doubles 512 ingots.

It doubles the amount of ingots you get from ores and doubles infinite items.

It adds a tank of 4 buckets to your furnace, so you can put a bucket of Lava in and smelt items in 1/100 parts of a bucket of lava, one item at a time.

Sneak-clicking with it on a Better Furnace enlarges its internal storage to 2 Input, 2 Output, and 2 Fuel Slots. Only one of the slots processes items; the rest is only for storage.

It makes the furnace output to chests or other inventories on the side you specify by right-clicking with the upgrade. It doesn't change the way pipes and hoppers interact with the furnace.

It's an upgrade you can put 3 upgrades into, even other Packages, greatly increasing the possible number of upgrades. If you put more than 100 upgrades it will probably start to lag, and Output, Input, and Factory Upgrades can't be put into them for balancing reasons.
