Scanning and Discovery
When you encounter a mob you haven't documented yet, the Bestiary will mark it as unknown. To unlock its information, you need to interact with it directly.
Using the Spyglass Method
Equip a Spyglass and look at the unknown mob through it. This reveals clues about the creature without requiring combat. Each observation adds progress toward unlocking the full entry.
Combat and Scanning
Alternatively, fight the mob to gather data faster. The mod dynamically scans damage you take, health remaining, and behavior patterns as the battle progresses. Defeating the mob completes the scan more quickly than passive observation.
Checking Your Progress
Open your 
Bestiary Book (press B by default) and search for the mob's name. You'll see a progress bar showing how much information you've unlocked. Once fully scanned, all stats—health, attack damage, spawn conditions, and loot drops—become visible.
Rank Notifications
As you complete scans, you'll receive on-screen notifications when you rank up your knowledge of that creature type. This progression system rewards consistent exploration and combat.
