Plan a Mob Farm Using Bestiary Stats

Gathering Mob Information

Before building a farm, scan the mob you want to farm. Open your Bestiary Book and search for the creature. Note its spawn conditions—biome, light level, block type—and any special requirements.

Reviewing Loot Drops

The Bestiary displays every item the mob drops with percentage chances for each. This tells you which items are worth farming for and which are rare. Use this data to decide if the farm is worthwhile.

Understanding Spawn Mechanics

Check the spawn conditions section. Some mobs only appear in specific biomes or light levels. Others require particular blocks nearby. The mod shows all these details so you can replicate the exact conditions.

Calculating Farm Efficiency

Combine spawn rate information with loot percentages to estimate your farm's output. If a mob has a 5% chance of dropping a valuable item, you'll need high spawn rates to make farming efficient.

Tracking Dynamic Drops

As your farm runs, the Bestiary continues tracking dropped items in real-time. Compare actual drops against expected percentages to verify your farm is working correctly and adjust design if needed.
