Configure the Bestiary to Track Mobs from Other Mods
Why Mobs Might Not Appear
Some modded creatures don't automatically register in the Bestiary. This happens when the mod's entity names aren't recognized by the dynamic scanning system.
Using the Entity Include List
Open your mod configuration file and locate the entityIncludeList setting. Add the exact mob name in the format modname:mobname (e.g., examplemod:custom_creature). This forces the Bestiary to recognize and track that mob.
Finding the Correct Mob Name
To get the exact name, use F3 debug mode while looking at the mob. The entity ID appears in the debug overlay. Copy this ID into your config.
Adding Custom Categories
If you want modded mobs organized separately, use the monsterCategories setting. Create a new category and assign mobs to it by their entity names.
Reloading Configuration
After editing the config file, restart your game or reload chunks for changes to take effect. New mobs should now appear in your Bestiary and begin scanning automatically.
Verifying Success
Press B and search for the mob by name or filter by mod. It should now appear in your Bestiary and track normally.
