Getting Animated Resource Packs Working

Animatica reads the same animation format that OptiFine and MCPatcher use, so most animated resource packs you already have will work without any conversion. Place the pack in your resource packs folder and enable it like any other pack.

Once active, Animatica handles the animation files inside the pack. This covers GUI screens, mob skins, armor trims, and block textures, so menus, creatures, and gear can move or glow on screen.

The mod supports the standard animation options those files describe: custom frame orders that let an animation repeat or bounce back and forth, frame blending so motion looks smooth instead of jumping, and per-frame timings so each frame plays for the length you set.

Because it only adds visual animation on top of your existing packs, it stays light on your computer. If a pack does not animate, check that it actually contains animation files, since Animatica only plays what the pack provides.
