Switch Your Game Language to a Phonetic Script
Access Language Settings
Open your Minecraft settings and navigate to the Language menu. You'll see the standard language list, but this pack adds 15 new phonetic and alternative alphabet options alongside them.
Choose Your Script
Scroll through the language options to find the script you want:
- Katakana — English text converted to Japanese phonetic characters
- Pinyin — Chinese text in standard romanization
- I18nglish — English words shortened to first and last letters with numbers filling the middle
- Man'yōgana — Ancient Japanese script version
- Wade-Giles or Yale — Alternative Chinese romanization systems
- Cyrillic (Palladius) — Text displayed in Cyrillic letters
- Bopomofo — Chinese phonetic symbols
- Xiao'erjing — Arabic script for Chinese words
- Gwoyeu Romatzyh or Tongyong Pinyin — Specialized phonetic formats
Apply and Verify
Select your chosen language. Your menus, item names, and tooltips will immediately update to the new script. If characters appear as boxes or symbols, you need to install a modern font mod to display them correctly.
