Switch Between Performance Profiles

Access Shader Settings

United Shaders includes low, medium, and high performance profiles to match your computer's capabilities. Switching between them is straightforward and takes effect immediately.

How to Change Profiles

1. Open your Options menu from the main screen or pause menu

2. Navigate to Video Settings

3. Look for Shaders or Shader Options

4. Find the performance profile selector (usually labeled as Low, Medium, or High)

5. Click to choose your preferred profile

6. The shader will reload automatically

Choosing the Right Profile

Low Profile: Best for older computers or laptops. Reduces fog density, simplifies shadows, and minimizes colored lighting effects while keeping the core aesthetic.

Medium Profile: Balanced option for most modern systems. Includes fuller fog, more detailed shadows, and colored lighting without heavy performance cost.

High Profile: For powerful PCs. Enables all visual features including dense fog, complex shadows, and vibrant colored lighting from all light sources.

If you experience lag or stuttering, drop to a lower profile. If your frame rate is consistently high, try upgrading to see enhanced visuals.
