Understanding Ore Registration

The Underground Biomes Constructs Ore Registrar uses the Underground Biomes Construct API to automatically convert your mod's ore blocks into variants that match Underground Biomes stone types. Instead of your ore generating only in vanilla stone, it will spawn in Gneiss, Basalt, Soapstone, and other UBC stone variants.

How Registration Works

When you register an ore with this mod, it scans the Underground Biomes Construct stone palette and creates matching ore variants for each stone type. Your Copper Ore becomes Gneiss Copper Ore, Basalt Copper Ore, and so on—all generating naturally in their respective stone layers.

Configuration

Check your mod's configuration files for ore registration settings. Most mods using this system expose options to:

  • Enable or disable specific ore registrations
  • Adjust generation rates per biome variant
  • Whitelist or blacklist particular stone types

If your mod doesn't appear to be registering, verify that both Underground Biomes Construct and the Ore Registrar are installed, and that your mod's ore blocks are properly defined and named.
