Tale Of Kingdoms Mod — Guide

Getting Started

To begin a conquest in the Tale of Kingdoms Mod, players must create a new world. Shortly after world generation, a prompt will appear, offering the option to 'Start Your Conquest'. Upon clicking this, a gravel path will typically lead the player to a 'guild' structure. Inside the guild, players can interact with various NPCs to initiate their adventure.

Progression involves gaining 'honor' through quests and interactions. Once sufficient honor is acquired, players can speak to the City Builder, usually found in an 'inn', to begin the process of establishing a kingdom. The City Builder will follow the player to a chosen location, which must be at least 200 blocks away from the initial guild. To establish the kingdom's foundation, players must select 'build tier 1 city base'. Constructing buildings within the city requires resources, with each building typically needing 5 stacks of 64 wood and cobblestone. It is often recommended to build an 'item mall' as one of the first structures. Players then continue to build and upgrade their city to expand their influence.

Non-Player Characters (NPCs)

The mod features several key NPCs, each with unique functions vital to the player's progression and kingdom management.

NPC Use
Guild Master Allows players to sign contracts, hire hunters, and exit the guild.
Inn Keeper Provides options to rest until day or night, or simply wait.
Farmer Provides bread to the player upon logging into Minecraft.
Chef Sells various food items to the player.
Blacksmith Sells weapons and armor.
City Builder Follows the player to the desired location for kingdom creation.
Guild Member Patrols and attacks hostile monsters.
Hunter Kills monsters for the player; right-clicking makes them use a bow.

The Tale of Kingdoms Mod introduces several interactive menus for managing various aspects of the game. These menus facilitate interactions with NPCs, kingdom building, and trade.
