Choose Your Stone Type
Decide which stone variant you want for your pillars. Stoneworks offers pillar blocks for all vanilla stone types, including standard stone, deepslate, blackstone, sandstone, and more.
Craft Pillar Blocks
Open your stonecutter and place stone blocks inside. Look for the pillar option in the cutting menu—it will be distinct from stairs, slabs, and walls. Cut as many pillar blocks as you need for your column height.
Stack and Arrange
Place pillar blocks vertically to create tall, elegant columns. Pillars work well as:
- Support structures for roofs and overhangs
- Decorative framing around doorways and windows
- Corners and edges of large buildings
- Accent features in courtyards and plazas
Add Variety
Combine different stone variations of the same base type—such as regular pillars with cobbled pillars—to add texture and depth. You can also pair pillars with matching slabs or tiles at the base and top to create finished capitals and bases for a more polished architectural look.
