Use Compost Structures in Villages

Locating Compost Buildings

When the Farmer's Delight compatibility datapack is active, Repurposed Structures villages spawn dedicated compost buildings. These structures contain compost blocks and are designed to fit the village's theme. Search the village area for buildings that look like composting facilities or agricultural storage areas.

How Composting Works

Compost blocks accept organic materials like crops, seeds, leaves, and other plant matter. Place items into the compost by right-clicking the block. As you add materials, the compost fills up gradually. When completely full, it produces bone meal that you can collect.

Gathering Bone Meal

Once your compost is full, right-click it to extract the bone meal. Use bone meal to instantly grow crops, flowers, and trees, or apply it to farmland to speed up crop growth.

Efficient Composting

Compost buildings in villages are pre-built and ready to use. Gather plant waste from the surrounding farms and village areas to feed them. This creates a sustainable cycle: harvest crops, compost the waste, use bone meal to grow more crops.
