Optimize Shader Performance on Lower-End Systems
Enable Performance Mode
RenderKit is designed to run efficiently on lower-end hardware. Access shader settings and look for performance or quality presets. Select a lower quality tier if your system struggles with frame rate.
Reduce Render Distance Selectively
Lower your render distance in Video Settings to reduce the area the shader must process. Since you're focusing on isolated subjects or close-up renders, you don't need distant chunks loaded.
Disable Unnecessary Features
1. Turn off advanced shadow calculations if enabled
2. Disable extra atmospheric effects or post-processing if available
3. Keep flat lighting enabled—it's less demanding than complex dynamic lighting
Monitor Frame Rate
Use F3 debug screen to watch your FPS while adjusting settings. Make incremental changes and test each one to find the balance between visual quality and smooth performance.
Use Vanilla-Compatible Settings
RenderKit maintains a clean vanilla appearance while staying lightweight. Stick with its core features—solid backgrounds, flat lighting, and shadow removal—rather than stacking additional visual mods, which will impact performance more significantly.
