Adjust Water Clarity and Reflection Intensity

Access Shader Settings

Open the shader options menu while in-game by pressing the designated shader menu key (usually found in your controls settings). Look for the Water or Reflections category in the settings panel.

Fine-Tune Water Appearance

REAlite Shaders offers several water-related sliders:

  • Water Clarity: Controls how transparent the water appears. Lower values make water more opaque and murky; higher values create clearer, more see-through water ideal for viewing underwater builds.
  • Reflection Strength: Adjusts how prominently the sky and surroundings reflect on water surfaces. Reduce this if reflections feel too intense or distracting while building near water.
  • Wave Motion: Modulates the intensity of surface wave animation. Decrease this for calmer water or increase for more dynamic movement.

Apply and Test

After adjusting each slider, observe the changes in real-time. Move to different water bodies—oceans, rivers, and lakes may look different depending on depth and lighting. Return to the shader menu to fine-tune further if needed. Your preferences will persist across sessions.
