Understand the Heat System

Prodigy Tech runs on heat, not RF or FE. Machines have a working temperature range, and heat flows from hotter blocks to cooler ones. Your first goal is to generate heat and move it into a machine that needs it.

Build Your First Heat Chain

1. Craft the Handbook of Prodigies first — it is the in-game guide and explains every machine's temperature range and recipes.

2. Make a Blower Furnace. This is your entry-level heat source; it burns fuel and produces heat you can pipe into other machines.

3. Place a machine that consumes heat nearby, such as the Heat Sawmill for wood processing or the Ore Refinery for ore work.

4. Connect them with Air Funnel blocks. Air Funnels move heat between adjacent blocks, so a line of them carries heat from the Blower Furnace to the machine.

5. Check the machine's required temperature. If it needs more heat than the Blower Furnace provides, you will need a hotter source like the Magmatic Aeroheater or Energion Aeroheater.

Avoid Common Mistakes

Heat does not teleport — every block in the chain must be adjacent. If a machine sits idle, verify the Air Funnel line is unbroken and the source is actually burning fuel. Store surplus heat in a Heat Accumulator so machines keep running between fuel loads.
