Do I need Protomanly's Weather mod installed for this to work?
Yes, this resource pack only reskins weather from Protomanly's Weather mod, so you must have that mod installed first. Without it, the pack will have no effect on your game.
Will this pack work on a server or only single-player?
Resource packs only affect what you see on your client, so this works in both single-player and multiplayer. Other players won't see your custom rain and snow unless they also install the pack.
Can I use this with shader mods like Complementary or BSL?
Yes, this pack pairs well with shader mods and can make weather effects look even better when combined with them. The smaller particles and fog changes work alongside shader lighting and effects.
Why can't I see during storms even with this pack installed?
Make sure the pack is actually enabled in your resource pack list and ranked above any conflicting packs. If it's enabled and you still have visibility issues, try adjusting your render distance or checking if another pack is overriding the weather textures.
Does this change rain and snow in all biomes or just some?
This pack reskins all rain and snow particles globally, so the changes apply everywhere in your world. The fog and mist effects also apply during all rain intensities.
Will enabling this pack affect my FPS or performance?
Resource packs generally have minimal performance impact since they only change textures and particles. If you notice lag, it's more likely caused by the weather mod itself or your shader pack rather than this resource pack.
Can I customize how small the raindrops are or how the snow looks?
Resource packs don't have in-game settings to tweak particle sizes, so you get the pack's default appearance. If you want different sizes or styles, you would need to edit the pack files yourself or find an alternative pack.
What's the difference between this pack and just using the default textures?
This pack shrinks rain particles so they block less of your view, improves snow particle detail and appearance, and adjusts fog during storms. These changes make heavy weather less visually overwhelming while keeping the atmosphere.
Do I need to restart my game after installing this pack?
You need to reload your resource packs, which you can do by going to Options > Resource Packs and clicking the refresh button. You don't need to fully restart the game.
Will this pack work if I have other weather or visual mods installed?
This pack should work with most mods, but if you have other mods that also change weather appearance, they may conflict. Test by enabling them one at a time to see which combination looks best.
