Beanstalks: The Player-Generated Dungeon

Beanstalks are massive, vertical structures that serve as the mod's primary dungeon mechanic. Unlike traditional dungeons, these are generated by the player.

Growing the Stalk

To begin, a player must procure a Lost Bean. When planted far from structures (to avoid collateral damage), it grows into a towering beanstalk that can reach the world height limit.

Anatomy & Loot

• Beanstalk Blocks: The stalk itself is made of unique wood-like blocks that require a high-tier axe to harvest efficiently.
• Beanstalk Keys: Throughout the stalk, players will find locked chests and 'nodes' that require specific Beanstalk Keys to open.
• Drops: Harvesting the stalk yields Lost Beans, Beanstalk Wood, and rare loot found in the upper reaches.

Farming & Crops

Farming is overhauled with new fertilizers and 'wild' variants of vanilla crops.

Special Crops

• Wild Potatoes: Found in the wild, these are superior to standard potatoes. While they cause nausea if eaten raw, they can be processed into items that grant flight or intra-dimensional teleportation.
• Souls Wart: A Nether-based crop that grows on Soul Sand. It is a key ingredient in 'Tainted' potions and high-level curatives.
• Albino Pods: Rare variants of melons and pumpkins that yield unique seeds.

Fertilizers

• Pinkly Fertilizer: Spammed like bonemeal to instantly grow mod-specific crops.
• Paleosoil Fertilizer: Created from Primordial Paleosoil (found in the Nether), this fertilizer is required for the most advanced 'Rainbow' crops.

Fishing & Ocean Trawling

The 'Better Fishin' system introduces automation and large-scale resource collection.

• Rod Auto-Caster: A block that automatically casts a fishing rod and reels in catches.
• Squirmies Box Farms: A block where Pink Earthworms (Squirmies) are bred to produce bait and organic waste.
• Ocean Trawling: Players can set up Trawl Nets or Trawl Cages. These can be stationary in ocean biomes or attached to the back of a boat to collect fish, treasure, and 'Green Litter' while moving.
