Pet Bat Mechanics

The Pet Bat Mod introduces several unique mechanics:

• Taming: Wild bats are tamed by right-clicking them with a Pumpkin Pie. [1, 4, 5]
• Leveling System: Pet bats gain experience by dealing damage to mobs, which contributes to their level progression (up to Level 6). Each level increases their stats. [1, 4, 5]
• Lifesteal: At Level 3, pet bats develop a lifesteal ability, recovering 33% of the damage they inflict as health. [1, 2, 4, 5]
• Night Vision: Holding a pet bat in item form provides the player with a continuous Night Vision effect. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
• Renaming: Players can rename their pet bats through a dedicated interface accessed by right-clicking the bat item. [4, 5]
• Persistent Ownership: A pet bat's ownership is bound to the tamer and cannot be transferred or stolen, even if the item form is acquired by another player. [1, 3, 4, 5]
• Safe Inventory: The pet bat item is safe within the player's inventory, even upon the player's death. [1, 3, 4, 5]
• Anvil Interaction: While a pet bat can be combined with a Pumpkin Pie on an anvil, this action only serves to heal the bat and provides no other special effects. [1, 3, 4, 5]
