Understanding Resolution Tiers
Odar offers seven resolution options from 32x to 2048x. Higher resolutions show more detail but demand more video memory and processing power. Lower resolutions run smoothly on older hardware but show less texture detail.
Selecting Your Resolution
For older or lower-end computers: Start with 32x or 64x resolution. These maintain the mod's clean aesthetic while keeping frame rates stable.
For mid-range systems: 128x or 256x resolution balances visual quality with performance. Most modern laptops handle this comfortably.
For high-end gaming PCs: 512x, 1024x, or 2048x resolutions showcase the full detail of the real-world photo references. Pair these with shader packs for maximum visual impact.
Testing Your Choice
After selecting a resolution, load a world and observe frame rates in different environments—caves, forests, and open plains stress your system differently. If you experience stuttering or lag, drop down one resolution tier. You can change resolutions anytime without reinstalling the pack.
