Make Forests Look Thicker and Fuller
Why Trees Feel Sparse
Default Minecraft tree leaves can appear thin and see-through, making forests feel less dense and immersive. Odar's base textures improve leaf appearance, but you can enhance this further.
Activating the Foliage Add-on
Enable the OdarIs Foliage add-on pack. This thickens tree leaves across all biomes, creating a denser canopy that blocks more light and makes woodland areas feel more enclosed and lush.
Visual Impact
With Foliage enabled, sunlight filters through leaves more realistically, shadows deepen under trees, and the overall forest environment becomes more atmospheric. This works especially well in birch, oak, and dark oak forests.
Combining with Shaders
Pair this add-on with a shader pack for dramatic lighting effects through the thickened canopy. The combination creates convincing dappled light and shadow patterns that enhance immersion.
