What Structure Injection Does
Lithostitched lets datapacks and mods append additional structure pieces to existing structure pools. This means you can make villages spawn extra buildings, add rooms to temples, or extend other jigsaw-based structures without overwriting the originals. The mod handles the pool merging so multiple datapacks can contribute pieces to the same structure without conflicting.
Preparing Your Structure Piece
First, build your piece as a standard structure NBT file using a structure block, then save it into your datapack under data/<namespace>/structure/. Next, create a template pool JSON that references that NBT and defines how it connects to the parent structure via jigsaw blocks. The pool file goes in data/<namespace>/worldgen/template_pool/.
Hooking Into the Target Structure
To attach your pool to a village or temple, you need to reference the vanilla template pool you want to extend. Lithostitched reads injection entries that name the target pool and your added pool, then merges them at world load. Place this injection JSON in the folder Lithostitched documents for structure modifications. After adding the files, run /reload and generate a new structure in unexplored terrain. Structures already generated will not gain the new pieces, so travel far enough that fresh chunks are created. If your piece never appears, double-check that the jigsaw connectors on your NBT match the pool's target connectors.
