Verify Shader is Loaded

Confirm that Toon Cel Anime Style is actually active in your shader settings menu. If no shader is selected, outlines won't render. Re-enable it and restart your world if needed.

Check Line Thickness Value

Open shader settings and confirm the outline thickness slider is not set to zero or minimum. If it's too low, outlines become invisible. Increase it to a noticeable level and observe the change.

Inspect Lighting Conditions

Outlines are most visible in well-lit areas. Test your settings in bright daylight and in caves. If outlines only fail to appear in darkness, your brightness or contrast settings may need adjustment.

Look for Conflicting Mods

Other shader packs, graphics mods, or visual enhancement mods running simultaneously can interfere with cel shading. Disable competing mods and test again.

Reset to Defaults

If outlines still don't appear correctly, reset shader settings to default values in the video menu. This clears any corrupted or incompatible custom values.

Test on a New World

Create a fresh world to rule out world-specific issues. If outlines work there, your original world's settings or mods may be the problem.
