Identify Your Resource Pack's Color Scheme

Examine the dominant colors in your resource pack—look at mob textures, UI elements, and environmental blocks. Note the primary hues and whether the pack uses warm (reds, oranges) or cool (blues, purples) tones.

Choose a Complementary Damage Color

Select a damage flash color that harmonizes with your pack's palette. If your resource pack uses cool blues and purples, a matching blue or purple damage flash will feel cohesive. For warm-toned packs, consider orange or gold.

Test in Your Preferred Environment

Load a world with your resource pack active and hit mobs to see how the damage flash interacts with the custom textures. The overlay should enhance rather than clash with the visual style.

Adjust for Visibility

Even if a color matches your pack perfectly, it must remain visible during combat. If the flash blends too much with mob textures, brighten it or shift the hue slightly while keeping the overall aesthetic.

Save Your Configuration

Once satisfied, your shader settings are typically saved automatically. Your custom damage color will persist across sessions and worlds.
