Check Current Performance

Load into a world and observe your frame rate using F3 (Java Edition) or your launcher's performance overlay. Note any stuttering or lag, especially in areas with many trees or complex terrain.

Reduce Optional Effects

BVS Best Shaders is already lightweight, but you can further optimize by disabling optional visual enhancements in Shader Options. Look for toggles related to ambient occlusion, water reflections, or particle effects. Disabling these won't remove the core shader benefits.

Lower Resolution Settings

If performance is still poor, reduce your render distance or lower your graphics settings in Video Options. Pair this with BVS's lightweight design for smooth gameplay.

Monitor Results

After each change, spend a few minutes exploring different biomes and building-heavy areas. The shader should maintain its visual improvements while keeping frame rates stable. On older systems, you should see consistent performance without the lag that heavier shader packs cause.
