Identifying Tool Mismatches

The smooth loading bar makes it immediately obvious when you're using an inefficient tool. Watch how quickly the bar fills:

  • If it fills very slowly on a common block, you're likely using the wrong tool
  • If it fills quickly, your tool is well-suited to that block

Quick Testing Method

1. Attempt to break a block with your current tool

2. Observe how fast the loading bar progresses

3. Switch tools and try another identical block nearby

4. Compare the bar-fill speeds

This visual comparison is much clearer than trying to count crack stages or estimate time mentally.

Mining Efficiency Tips

Use the loading bar to confirm you have the right tool before committing to large mining operations. For example:

  • Stone should break quickly with a pickaxe
  • Wood should break quickly with an axe
  • Dirt should break quickly with a shovel

If any of these fill slowly, reconsider your tool choice. The loading bar gives you instant feedback without needing to complete the break.
