Check Your Prerequisites

Demon Eye Phantoms requires two mods to function:

1. Entity Texture Features – enables custom entity textures

2. Entity Model Features – enables custom entity models

Without both installed, phantoms will render as vanilla. Verify both are in your mods folder and enabled.

Verify Resource Pack Installation

  • Confirm the pack appears in your resource packs menu
  • Ensure it's moved to the active side (not grayed out)
  • Check that it's positioned *above* other entity packs in load order

Reload and Test

1. Save and close your world

2. Go to Settings → Resource Packs and toggle the pack off, then back on

3. Restart Minecraft completely

4. Spawn into a world at night or use /time set night

5. Look for floating eyes with custom colors and listen for Terraria-style sounds

If phantoms still appear vanilla after these steps, check your mod versions are compatible with your Minecraft version.
