How do I open or enable the Wawla overlay?
Wawla works automatically once installed — there's nothing to open. Just look at a block or entity and the extra HUD lines appear near your crosshair; if you see nothing, check that the mod is enabled in your mod list and that the HUD toggle in its config is on.
Why is Wawla not showing anything when I look at blocks?
The most common causes are the HUD being disabled in the config, the individual line toggles being turned off, or another HUD mod drawing over it. Check the config's HUD and per-line options first, then test with other overlay mods temporarily disabled.
How do I turn off just one line of the Wawla display?
Open the Wawla config and look for the per-line toggles — each line (such as block hardness, mob health, or mod source) can be switched on or off individually. Disabling a line hides only that line; the rest of the overlay keeps working.
Can I move the Wawla HUD to a different position on screen?
Wawla's overlay is tied to where you're looking rather than being a free-floating HUD element, so it doesn't have a drag-to-move position like a status bar. If you want it elsewhere, you'd need a separate HUD-positioning mod that supports it.
How do I see a mob's health and armor with Wawla?
Just aim your crosshair at the mob — Wawla adds health, armor, and
held item info to the entity tooltip automatically. If those lines are missing, they've likely been disabled in the config's entity section.

Look at the block and Wawla adds a line showing the mod source (or 'Minecraft' for vanilla blocks). This is the fastest way to trace an unfamiliar block back to its mod without opening JEI or a wiki.
Does Wawla work on entities and mobs, or only blocks?
It handles both. Block info appears when you look at a block, and entity info (health, armor, held items, and similar) appears when you look at a mob or other entity.
Is Wawla compatible with other HUD or tooltip mods like WAILA or HWYLA?
Wawla is designed to complement WAILA/HWYLA-style mods rather than replace them, and it can also run alongside them. If two overlays fight for the same screen space, disable the duplicate lines in one mod's config so only one draws them.
Does Wawla hurt my FPS or performance?
Wawla only reads data about whatever you're currently looking at, so its performance cost is normally negligible. If you notice a drop, try disabling lines you don't use — especially any that query entity or block data frequently.
Can I change what information Wawla shows, like adding or removing categories?
Yes — the config exposes toggles for the different categories of information (block details, entity details, and so on). Turn categories on or off to match what you actually want to see in-game.
