The mod's extra server information is genuinely useful for choosing where to play. Here's how to turn it into a decision.

Reading the details

Hover a server in your multiplayer list. Alongside the flag, the tooltip shows the country and your approximate distance to the server. That distance is a rough proxy for ping: the farther away the host, the more likely you'll see lag, rubber-banding, or delayed block breaking.

Comparing servers

When you have several servers for the same community or game mode, sort mentally by distance. Pick the closest one that still has the features and population you want. Use the globe map to visualize the spread if you're juggling options across regions.

Caveats to remember

Distance is approximate and based on IP geolocation, so it won't perfectly predict latency. Routing, ISP peering, and server load matter too. Treat the distance figure as a first filter, not a guarantee. If two servers are close in distance, just try both and compare actual in-game responsiveness. The flag and distance together give you a fast, at-a-glance shortlist before you commit to joining.
