How do I start a nation in Politics Mod?
Place a Founding Stone in an unclaimed chunk, then upload a custom flag link to your nation dashboard. You'll become the leader and can start claiming territory and inviting players.
What's the best way to make money early game?
Place Tax Blocks in your claimed chunks—you can place up to four per nation and earn income every cycle. Build Vault blocks to increase your treasury capacity so you can store more wealth.
How do I claim land for my nation?
Use the visual map menu (press K) to claim chunks, or use `/politicsmod claim` to claim your current chunk. You can also use `/politicsmod claim_radius <radius>` to claim multiple chunks at once.
Can I have multiple cities in one nation?
Yes—place City Stones within your nation's claimed territory to create cities, then appoint mayors to run them using `/politicsmod city setmayor <city> <player>`.
What happens if I set federal tax too high?
If your federal tax rate gets too high, mayors can trigger city secession using `/politicsmod city secede`, and their city will become independent.
How do I trade with other nations?
Build a Trade Warehouse to list items on the global market or purchase supplies from other countries. You can also send money directly to allies using `/politicsmod pay <country> <amount>`.
What do embassies do?
Place an Embassy and link it to partner nations to gain bonus income every cycle. This incentivizes maintaining peaceful diplomatic relationships.
How does war work in this mod?
Declare war using `/politicsmod diplomacy war <country>`, which allows enemy players to raid your border chunks. Deploy Radar towers to get HUD alerts when enemies enter your territory during active wars.
Can other players break my blocks in claimed territory?
Outsiders cannot break blocks in your claimed chunks during peacetime, but during an active war, enemies can raid your border chunks.
What's the difference between nation income and city income?
Cities generate their own income from Tax Blocks placed within their chunks, and you can set a federal tax rate to collect a percentage of that city income for your national treasury.
