Placing Waypoints
While holding your
Atlas, you can create waypoints to mark important locations such as your base, mines, or villages. Open the
Atlas interface and look for the option to add a waypoint at your current position. Waypoints appear as icons on the map and can be named for easy identification.
Sharing Maps with Other Players
If you are playing on a multiplayer server, you can share your
Atlas with other players. Simply drop the
Atlas item or place it in a chest for another player to pick up. When they open it, they will see all the terrain and waypoints you have recorded. This is useful for group exploration or for giving new players a map of the area.
Managing Waypoints
- You can rename or delete waypoints through the
Atlas interface. - Waypoints are stored per dimension, so a waypoint in the Overworld will not appear on your Nether map.
- Use different icons or colors (if supported) to distinguish between types of locations.
- Keep your
Atlas in a safe place; if lost, you lose all recorded waypoints and explored terrain.
