Assign Permanent Player Colors

Instead of letting the mod randomly assign colors, you can manually set specific colors for individual players so their markers are always consistent and recognizable.

Steps

1. Open the Locator Border Mod configuration

2. Navigate to the player color settings or custom colors section

3. Find an option to add or edit player-specific colors

4. Enter the player's username or UUID

5. Select or input your desired color (most mods support hex codes or color pickers)

6. Save and close the menu

Tips

Custom colors override both random assignment and team-based coloring. This is useful for highlighting specific teammates or making certain players stand out. If you're on a team-enabled server, you can choose to let the mod use scoreboard team colors instead—check for a "Use Team Colors" toggle in settings.

You can set as many custom colors as you need; the mod stores them persistently.
