Item Scroller FAQ

Just hover your cursor over an item slot and scroll your mouse wheel — that's the core interaction, no keybind needed. Scrolling over a slot moves items one at a time between the inventory you're viewing and your own.

It's a client-side utility that lets you move items between inventories and crafting grids using mouse-wheel scrolling and drag-based shortcuts instead of shift-clicking one stack at a time. It doesn't add new items or blocks — it just speeds up inventory management.

Open a crafting grid, place your recipe once, then scroll over the output slot to craft repeatedly as long as the ingredients are available in your inventory. You can also drag across the grid to fill multiple slots at once.

Set up the recipe in the grid, then scroll on the result slot — each scroll tick crafts one batch and pulls replacement ingredients automatically. Hold the scroll to keep crafting until you run out of materials.

Scroll while holding the modifier key (check your config for which one is bound) to move entire stacks instead of single items. Without the modifier, scrolling moves one item per tick.

Make sure you're hovering directly over a slot, not the empty space of the GUI, and that the mod is enabled in its config. If another inventory mod is installed, its keybinds may be intercepting the scroll — check for conflicts.

Yes, it's client-side only and sends normal inventory-click packets, so it works on vanilla servers and is generally allowed on multiplayer. Some strict anti-cheat or competitive servers may still flag rapid clicking, so check server rules.

Item Scroller is a Java Edition mod and does not exist for Bedrock or Pocket Edition. Bedrock has no equivalent mod loader for this type of client-side inventory tweak.

Open the mod's config screen from the mod list or via its keybind; there you can rebind the modifier keys and adjust scroll and drag behavior. Changes apply immediately without restarting the game.

It's lightweight and has negligible performance impact since it only acts on inventory screens. Conflicts are rare but can occur with other inventory-management mods that also bind scroll or drag — disable overlapping features in one of them if you see issues.
