Sunlight Damage

As a vampire, direct sunlight harms you. When exposed to the sun you take damage over time, so you must treat daytime like a hazard. The simplest solutions are to travel at night, stay underground, or move between shaded areas. Wearing a helmet or armor does not protect you from this — you need actual cover, such as being under a roof, in a cave, or in the shade of blocks. Plan your surface activities around the day/night cycle.

Managing Weaknesses

Beyond sunlight, vampires in Haema have other drawbacks tied to their blood level. When your blood runs low you become weaker, which makes sunlight and combat far more dangerous. Keep your blood meter filled so you are not fighting both a weakness and the environment at once. Avoid prolonged exposure to whatever else the mod marks as harmful to vampires, and retreat to safety if you start taking unexpected damage.

Practical Survival Routine

Build a sheltered base with a covered entrance so you can move in and out without stepping into the sun. Keep a bed or safe room to skip the day if needed. Stock food-equivalent blood sources near your base so you can top up before heading out. When exploring, note cave entrances and overhangs you can duck into if dawn catches you away from home. Treat every sunrise as a deadline: either be indoors, underground, or have a clear shaded route. With a full blood meter and a plan for daylight, you can operate as a vampire without constantly dying to the sun.
