How to Spawn Goblins with Spawn Eggs

Both the Goblin Trader Spawn Egg and the Vein Goblin Trader Spawn Egg exist so you can place a trader exactly where you want one, without waiting for a natural spawn. This is the fastest way to test trades or build a trading hub.

Placing a Goblin

Hold the spawn egg and right-click the ground where you want the goblin to stand. It appears immediately as a passive mob and will not attack you. The regular spawn egg produces a standard Goblin Trader; the vein variant produces the ore-loving Vein Goblin Trader. Place them on solid ground in a lit area so they stay put and are easy to reach.

Building a Trading Hub

A simple approach is to dig a small room near your base, light it fully, and place several goblins side by side. Because each goblin rolls its own randomized offers, placing multiple traders in one spot effectively gives you a menu of options to compare. Wall them in with a low fence or leave them open; they do not wander far. Label each stall so you remember which goblin had which good offer. This turns random trade luck into a convenient, repeatable shopping trip right next to your storage.
